Who To Drop And Who To Keep: Fantasy Football Recap Week 13

Happy Wednesday! Week 13 is done and it was another great week of games! Here are the two players that exceeded their playing this week:

QB Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers: 28/41, 331 Yards, 5 TDs, 1 INT, 10 Rushes, 49 Yards; ESPN Score: 35

MVP candidate Cam Newton and Drew Brees went head-to-head at the Superdome last Sunday. The two QBs showed they can air it out like any other elite QB in the league. However, Newton championed over Brees, throwing 5 TDs and keeping the Panthers undefeated for the season.

WR Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars: 10 Receptions, 153 Yards, 3 TDs; ESPN Score: 33

Robinson showed his potential to be the top receiver and starter for fantasy owners Sunday against the Titans. He scored three TDs and kept the Jaguars in the game. The Titan’s explosive offense, however, took over Robinson and the Jacksonville offense and the team won the game.

Here are two players that underperformed:

RB Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons: 14 Rushes, 47 Yards, 0 TD; ESPN Score: 9

Freeman’s recent performance has made him a leader in the Atlanta offense this season. However, Freeman had a hard time coming back from injury on Sunday. He rushed under a 100 yards and scored 0 TDs. Freeman is expected to come back 100 percent next week.

QB Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers: 18/35, 202 Yards, 0 TD, 1 INT; ESPN Score: 6

Rivers is one of the elite QBs who scores an average of 28 points each game for many fantasy owners. Rivers was no help for the Chargers offense on Sunday, though. Rivers looks to bounce back and connect with receivers against the hot Kansas City Chiefs in week 14.

Here is someone to look out for Week 14:

WR Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks

Just three weeks ago, the Seahawks were 4-5. The team is finally bouncing back, with Baldwin’s help. Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin finally found the connection and have been scoring at a very fast pace in the last couple of games. Baldwin and the Seahawks offense are expected to help fantasy owners score lots of points for the rest of the season.

Here is two players you should sit for this week 14:

WR Alshon Jeffery, Chicago Bears

There’s a high chance Jeffery could be the number one receiver this season for fantasy owners and for the Bears. However, Jeffery and the Bears’ offense have not been performing at a competitive level all season. I suggest finding another receiver to replace Jeffery for the rest of the season.

Good luck to everyone for week 14 and start thinking playoffs!
