What To Do In NYC This Weekend (March 10-March 13)

Ashley Falzone
Ashley is your semi-above-average 20 something living in Astoria who lives and breathes NYC life. She goes about her days looking forward to all the food she will consume. She also loves referencing Kanye West quotes in her articles whenever applicable.

Women’s history month is (naturally) coming along nicely with food truck fests, pop-ups, book fairs and celebrating Asian heritage.

The NY Antiquarian Book Fair

If you’re sick of reading on a tablet for smartphone, join other bookworms this weekend at the Park Avenue Armory for the NY Antiquarian Book Fair, where more than 200 American and international dealers will exhibit a wide array of specialties that include art, medicine, literature, photography and more. Admission is $25, but can be $10 if you still have your good ole college ID.

Social Sunday Pop-Up

Social Pop-Up has created a series of events known as Social Sunday, which is meant to be a collective gallery showcasing unique local artists and their creations with live music and exotic cocktails. Taking place at The VNYL, admission is free, but an RSVP will get you a free cocktail. The event brings together a unique blend of art, fashion, shopping and socializing. If you’re looking to get your creative juices flowing, this is the place to be.

NYC Food Truck Fest

Get your grub on as the Upper West Side turns into a food truck paradise on Sunday. The Grand Bazaar is presenting the NYC Food Truck fest, with more than 100 vendors taking part. Some of the vendors include Luke’s Lobster, Gorilla Cheese NYC and The Empanada Sonata. The event is free and 100 percent of the profits will be donated to four local public schools.

Come to the NYC Food Truck Fest, organized by Grand Bazaar NYC the weekly curated market on the Upper West Side, featuring 12 of NYC's best gourmet food trucks in addition to the market's 100+ vendors. The event is co-hosted by the New York Food Truck Association. NYC famous and best food trucks will be coming together to serve up everything from fresh Lobster Sandwiches to Neapolitan Pizza, Grilled Cheese to Sweet Creps, to award winning Empanadas and stuffed French Toast. 100% of Grand Bazaar NYC's profits are donated to four local public school, benefiting over 4,000 children. Admission is free. But feel free to donate to the good cause. DATE & HOURS – Sunday, March 12th, 2017 from 10am – 5:30pm LOCATION – Grand Bazaar NYC (Weekly market) – 100 West 77th St., NY, NY 10024 (Columbus Ave.)
