This special exhibition at the Museum at FIT is focusing on one of the most groundbreaking time periods in fashion history, from 1957-1968 in Paris. Going from February 10 through April 15, this exhibition examines the combined influence of French haute couture, ready-to-wear, and popular culture during this era, with an emphasis on how fashion was perceived by the American fashion press. Everything on view was selected from The Museum at FIT’s permanent collection of more than 50,000 objects.
The Museum of Sex isn’t only perfect to explore around Valentine’s Day. With many playful exhibitions, including Jump for Joy” and “The Sex Lives of Animals,” you surely won’t be bored or un-amused.
