The Newest Arrivals On Netflix You’ll Binge Watch During December

Becca Van Sambeck
Becca is a recent Fordham grad, a former German beer hall girl, and a new Brooklyn resident who used to read the dictionary for fun as a kid. She has only gotten slightly less lame since then. She loves pugs, chicken fingers, reading and Game of Thrones.

It’s a new month, which means new offerings are coming to Netflix! Here are a few additions getting some great buzz from TV fanatics.

Bill Murray’s Christmas Special: A Very Murray Christmas

This is probably the buzziest arrival for you to check out. Yup, Bill Murray — the man, the myth, the legend — now has a christmas special. It’s a variety show with singing, dancing, celebrity cameos and plenty of holiday spirit. Your favorites like George Clooney, Amy Poehler and Miley Cyrus are all on the guest list.

Animated Series: “F is For Family”

Animated series for adults are seriously having a moment with the popularity of shows like “BoJack Horseman” and “Bob’s Burgers.” So comedian Bill Burr is getting in on the craze with his own animated comedy, “F is For Family,” that’s probably not exactly viewed best with your family.

New Netflix series: “The Making of a Murderer”

The new true crime documentary series is about a man convicted of a violent crime, who was eventually found innocent and released, only to commit an even more brutal crime.

Buzz-worthy movie: “Tangerine”

“Tangerine,” which was shot entirely on an iPhone and recently scored a number of Independent Spirit Award nominations, is coming to Netflix this month.

Of course, with all these buzzy arrivals, there’s also some losses. Say goodbye to some favorites like “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” “Batman Begins,” and “Silence of the Lambs.” It might be the season of giving, but even Netflix has their limits.
