This Year At New York Fashion Week: The Fat Jewish?

Mikela Warman
Mikela has been working in the fashion industry since 2012 with the likes of Marie Claire, Giorgio Armani, WWD and VERANDA Magazine. She passionately studies the industry of style and how it coalesces with various different aspects of life such as art, career and cultural influences. When she’s not daydreaming at Bergdorf’s, you can find Mikela at yoga, watching Netflix documentaries and taking long walks around Manhattan. As a founding member of the site, Mikela also currently heads the brand management of 20something.

I am kind of uncertain about it.

I’m not sure if you remember TFJ taking over Instagram for the 2015 CFDA Awards, but I certainly do. This is one of the most prestigious fashion events in New York and thiiiiiiis guy gets to grab ‘hold? (Yes, that’s me. We had a thing.)

I’m all for making fashion lighthearted and fun, but is including Josh’s “dad” line just downright poking fun at fashion?

On September 16, Josh will debut the Dad Fashion Show, a show he describes as “an eclectic collection of apparel” celebrating “the moods and personalities of dads of all ages,” (The Cut). The show will be hosted at MADE studios, where Proenza and Wang show, for crying out loud.

I can’t lie, I’m wildly excited to see what this schmuck comes up with. I imagine lots of dad bods galavanting down the catwalk wearing Heinz Ketchup muscle tees, camo sweatpants, and cornrowed braids. Maybe I’ll bring my dad—but I wouldn’t want him to get any ideas.
