As everyone knows, a year is only as good as your New Year’s Eve plans. There’s really no point in having a good year if you’re going to end it at a lame party, and you definitely don’t want to start 2018 at one. But, we understand that sifting through the millions of parties in NYC can be daunting, so we’ve found some of the best ways for you to celebrate 2017 and ring in 2018. Now all you have to worry about is the equally daunting task of picking out an outfit!

BangOn! New Years Eve ‘Time and Space’

(Night Out)

Location: 1 Ingraham St. (East Williamsburg)
Time: 9 p.m.

If the idea of ringing in 2018 under a model of the solar system sounds as cool to you as it does to me, BangOn!’s Time and Space NYE party is where you should end up. Besides the stellar musical lineup for the night, BangOn! is sure to provide one of the best parties in the whole city, with a whole lineup of art installations, performers, and activities for you to celebrate the end of 2017.

Cityfox 2018

(Resident Advisor)

Location: 140 Stewart Ave (East Williamsburg)
Time: 10 p.m.

Not a runner but still want to try a marathon? Spend NYE (and NYD) at Cityfox, a 26.2 hour long New Years “Marathon Fest.” The lineup is stacked with 16 artists to help you party through the first day of the year. And if you want to spend New Year’s Eve somewhere else, you can buy tickets for just part of the party!

Y2K at House of Yes

(Eventbrite)

Location: 2 Wyckoff Ave. (Bushwick)
Time: 9 p.m.

It might be the end of 2017, but House of Yes is partying like it’s 1999! Ring in Y2K/2018 with a night of ‘90s throwback jams. The website says to either dress in ‘90s gear or channel your futuristic side, so your best bet is to channel that ‘90s baby nostalgia into your outfit.

Purple Rain Dance Party

(Syndicated BK)

Location: 40 Bogart St (Bushwick)
Time: 10 p.m.

If you’re a huge Prince fan, or if you’re looking for something that’s a little different than other parties, check out the Purple Rain Dance Party. Held at a bar/movie theater and boasting some sick visual elements, you can count on a mix of Prince throwbacks and dance music to keep you going til the early a.m.

The Bunker Limited NYE

(The BunkerNY)

Location: Brooklyn Warehouse TBA
Time: 10 p.m.

One of NYC’s best secret parties is making a comeback for the first time in two years for a New Years Eve warehouse party! The location hasn’t been released yet, but The Bunker promises that it’ll be an event suitable for everyone looking to get away from the “amateur” NYE crowd.

New Years Eve at Output

(Resident Advisor)

Location: 74 Wythe Avenue (Bushwick)
Time: 10 p.m.

Output is always a good idea if you’re into good dance music and a great venue, so naturally New Year’s Eve is no exception. The lineup is killer and will have you dancing all through the end of the year!
