It’s safe to say that Chi-town-based music duo Louis the Child is going any direction but down. The pair just finished their North American and European tour with Porter Robinson and Madeon, are currently enjoying featured spots on the upper halves of every festival poster, and just dropped their hit EP, Love is Alive. Not even at the legal drinking age, Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett have managed to take over the EDM scene from 0-100 in less than three years.
Starting off with synthy-indie pop remixes of artists like Zella Day, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Oh Wonder, LTC recruited a fan base early with a fresh sound brought to the ears of listeners who were accustomed to Alesso, Tiesto, and #SELFIE. Flash forward to 2017 and the duo is in the midst of creating their own brand (given enough time, a brand that could be competing with OWSLA) and a unique sound that highlights this generation’s up and coming indie vocalists. Trust us, 2017 is the year of LTC.
