See Why Disney’s Upcoming Movie ‘Moana’ Is Bound To Be An Instant Classic

Becca Van Sambeck
Becca is a recent Fordham grad, a former German beer hall girl, and a new Brooklyn resident who used to read the dictionary for fun as a kid. She has only gotten slightly less lame since then. She loves pugs, chicken fingers, reading and Game of Thrones.

With hits like Frozen and Zootopia, Disney has proven its animation team still has the charm and creativity to make instant classics. It looks like it’s continuing that trend with Moana. The movie is about a girl that’s on a mission to sail across the ocean and save her people, with a demigod, Maui, by her side.

It looks absolutely beautiful.

The music is written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (ever heard of his little play Hamilton?), and The Rock, the human embodiment of joy, is voicing a character. We know what we’ll be doing this Thanksgiving. Check out the trailer here!
