The Jistt:

  • Cougars at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio looked so especially fluffy, friendly, and kitty-like to a 35-year-old man that he decided to hop the fence to pet them.
  • All of his body parts are still in tact, but he’s facing some criminal charges and is expected to be in court on Wednesday, hopefully with some answers to everyone’s questions.

Would you hop a fence to pet a cougar? This 35-year-old man from Ohio decided this was a great idea at the Columbus Zoo recently. As a result of getting up close and personal he is now also facing a criminal charges, according to Mashable.

One has to think–was this on his bucket list? Was he sleep-walking? Is he just crazy?

At the start of the video, the Ohio man refers to the animals as kitties. Yes sir, they are members of the feline family, however they are NOT kitties. These are cougars who could rip your arm off or more severely injure you if possible. Thankfully that didn’t happen (*insert praising-the-sky emoji*), and the cougars were friendly and seemed to like it, but what was going through his mind? These questions will hopefully be answered during his court hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

The man’s got balls, no doubt. Having a pet cougar who knows you would be awesome and slightly less dangerous, but hopping a zoo fence just to pet one seems kind of extreme in my opinion. Yet, congrats sir, you have managed to keep your limbs intact and leave without a scratch.

We here at 20something do not recommend going to a zoo and hopping a fence to pet your favorite animals, even when they are super cute. Even if you’re, like, 90 percent sure it won’t kill you, you should follow zoo rules because although the animals don’t look too threatening in this video, you never know what could happen.
