Kanye Approves This Article: All You Need To Know About Yeezy Season 3

Yes, that sounds like a television series, but isn’t Kanye’s life basically one anyway?

Kanye West started off day 1 of fashion week with a bang at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Noticeably missing from this show was two time model and sister-in-law Kylie, who was sitting beside her family in the audience. But that didn’t seem to bother anybody. The focus was on the center of the arena, which was covered with a parachute as guests entered. Streamed by TIDAL, this two-hour event reached 20 million viewers and basically took over social media.

This season’s line was more about the army green, rustic orange, and still, the signature season’s nude tones, along with obviously, the shoes. The thing about Kanye’s shows is that they are so well crafted. From the stance of the 1000 models, to the facial expressions, to the music and even the lighting — the little details that goes into his show is what makes it so iconic.

The models were revealed underneath a taupe parachute in the center of MSF, in Kanye West style. Yeezus also debuted his new album, “The Life of Pablo.”

Kanye brought “sporty” to a whole new level with a little more polished and colorful look this season. Season 3 featured a bunch of deconstructed knits and comfy but stylish joggers, and of course, his Yeezy 350 Boost sneakers. This was also the debut of the 1050 Duck Boots, both “fitting and waterproof,” as quoted from Kanye’s Twitter feed. Absolutely perfect for this winter! I’ll take a pair.

Between Season 2 and Season 3, I noticed that Kanye has added a little more color and monochromatic patterns to his line, and that is what I am loving. He is a huge fan of the baggy sweatshirt, and killer sneaker, which is basically what I live in. That trend has continued throughout this season’s looks, but with different patterns and colors of course.

Let’s not forget about the fashion in the audience.

Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie all donned color-coordinated outfits designed by Mr. West himself along with family friend, and Balmain Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing. Another familiar face in the audience was Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour, who hasn’t missed a Yeezy Season show yet. She was seated beside the blonde Kim Kardashian-West and North. Also in the audience were supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid, Karli Kloss, Caitlyn Jenner, Kris Jenner, Melanie Griffith and Lorraine Schwartz. Also making his first public appearance since his hospitalization, Lamar Odom, who sat alongside Khloe the whole show.

Oh, and there was a special appearance by supermodel Naomi Campbell. Now that’s how you start off NYFW 2016.
