Inspiration To Nail The Overalls Look Without Looking Like A Farmer

Overalls are no longer just a farmer staple and a thing of the past.

When I was younger, I had some questionable outfits. Besides the graphic T-shirt over long-sleeves look, my mom forced me into wearing short white denim overalls with flower patches all over them and a hot pink T-shirt underneath (I have a school picture to prove that). I loathed that outfit.

Now, 15 years later, as I scroll through my Instagram, I see Taylor Swift in black long overalls, and I’m suddenly all about the overalls look again. She was sleek, effortless and hip. The low-cut sides made it sexy and sophisticated.

The overall craze has been around for a year already, but new designs and twists, with crossbacks and cutouts, have made them a growing trend of 2015. Don’t get me wrong, it’s easy to screw up this look. You can end up looking like a little boy on a prairie, but with just the right match and style of overalls, you can be chic and fierce, even with shorteralls. Here’s some inspirational overall styles to get you the number one OOTD:
