Detroit native Big Sean has raised $100,000 for Flint, Michigan.

The city has gone without clean water since April 2014. So, when it comes to donations, the pint-sized rapper knows that size matters. What’s more, Big Sean has offered more than monetary aid: his new album, “I Decide,” features the Flint Chosen Choir.

 

A Long Island pup is up for adoption after being chained outside for 15 years.

OUR HEARTS. The pup, named Bear, is now being regularly bathed and fed veggie burgers at a shelter in Port Jefferson. Basically, Bear is living his best life.

Suck it, 2016: This year, the #OscarsLessWhite.

The 2017 Academy Awards have already made history. Each acting category features an actor of color, making the nominees 35 percent non-white. Four of the nine movies nominated for Best Picture were written around characters of color, Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) is the fourth black Best Director nominee EVER and Octavia Spencer is the first black actress to be nominated again after winning an Oscar. Although we still have a long, long way to go, there’s much to celebrate here!
