Hey Arnold Is Back (And May Be Bringing Others With Him…)

Becca Van Sambeck
Becca is a recent Fordham grad, a former German beer hall girl, and a new Brooklyn resident who used to read the dictionary for fun as a kid. She has only gotten slightly less lame since then. She loves pugs, chicken fingers, reading and Game of Thrones.

It’s actually happening– everyone’s favorite football head is being revived on Nickelodeon! The TV Channel isn’t going to produce new episodes, but instead a special TV movie to reunite us with Arnold, Helga, Gerald, Stinky, Harold, and the rest of the crew. They’re also saying they will finally answer the mystery of what happened to Arnold’s parents, giving him and us some peace of mind.

The best part about this news is that Arnold might not be the only Nick character getting a resurrection after all these years. The company announced that they intend to look at all their old shows for opportunities like this, meaning we might get to actually see if the Rugrats ended up looking like this:

Rugrats_3.2

Please, no.

While they don’t have an exact air date set just yet, you can expect more news to come out over the next few months. The network says their decision to bring back Hey Arnold for a final adventure came from seeing how much love the show gets online, so if you’re looking to get more Clarissa Explains It All or Doug, now’s your chance to be heard. Nick is listening.
