Good-Vibes Playlist: 12 Best Tracks From Brooklyn’s Northside Festival

Kiran Josen
Kiran is your average 20something living in Astoria and working in Manhattan--the hustle is indeed real. You can frequently find her lounging in the park (with a bottle of cheap-ass Rosé), checking out some obscure band in the basement of a Brooklyn warehouse (probably called MilkToad), or attempting (and failing) to cook.

Last week, Brooklyn’s annual Northside Festival brought us all together for a week of good tunes, booze and very little sleep. By the end of the week, folks were running on fumes and coffee beans (strawberry Pedialyte for those who stayed out for every 2am show). But it’s all worth it if you get to see King Khan perform his special blend of psychedelic soul live while wearing an oversized merkin.

True story: A couple eating dinner at Baby’s All Right left their food mid-bite to come head bang along with the rest of us.

If you missed out on the festival, or are unfamiliar with it and want to know more, pop in an earbud and listen to some of these tunes. Guarantee you’ll impress your next Tinder date by talking up that killer T-Rextasy show.
