Fall has arrived. The seasons are changing and our wardrobes are going to have to adjust. The fall temperatures are often described as the perfect balance between the summer’s heat and the winter’s cold. So like every self proclaimed fashion enthusiast, I’m sure there’s a desire to match the incoming perfect weather with a perfect wardrobe. This can be executed resourcefully by first finding items that are already in our closets and making them adaptable to the new season — like a classic pair of jeans.

While pulling out those jeans from the back of our closets in exchange for our summer shorts may seem like a bit of a task, jeans are one of the few items of clothing that can be worn every season. For the fall, distressed denim (ripped jeans) are ideal. A clever and stylish way to ease into the cooler weather. Ripped jeans are easy to find and even easier to create in the comfort of your home. Here’s how to do it yourself.

Step 1: Grab a pair of Jeans. Try using an old pair, it suits the distressed look.

Step 2: Use a grater to press softly against jeans in areas desired.

Step 3: Afterwards, rub sandpaper against grated areas with ease.

Step 4: Finish the look by picking each area to fit your personal style.

Enjoy Stylishly!
