Though he studied pre-law, his love for the human body, it's adaptive ability and unlocking the largely untapped potential of human beings led him to pursue a passionate career in health, fitness, and athletics.

Lamar Odom is a few years removed from his 20’s, but when he was recently hospitalized after he was found unconscious at a brothel with “every drug imaginable” in his system, it shined a light on a serious issue — a need for more awareness on safer drug use.

The “Don’t Do Drugs” message is great and all, but it doesn’t address the recreational/social drug users who may not overindulge, but do need reminders for safer practices.

Since it’s so easy to get a sex pill to pop into your mouth on a night out, it’s important to pay attention to safe practices that can give you a disoriented good time, minus the hospital bill.

Want to really know what happens when you mix sex drugs with other drugs? Watch this video, you really don’t want to miss it.

Taking a sex drug isn’t going to kill you, but if you’re out for the night and contemplate doing other drugs on top of that, there’s some tips you should to follow so you don’t end up at the ER:

1. Know your drug source

Random hits at parties are always a gamble. Get your stuff via personal referral or a trusted/ consistent source. Unfortunately, you can’t yelp your dealer, so if you run into that one star guy, it might be your last time.

2. Try not to compound similar effects

Know what’s happening when you ingest your drugs. If you feel your blood vessels constricting, don’t take another one obvs. We like blood flow, it’s good for us keeps that oxygen coming into our bodies.

3. Don’t pop pills like candy

If you want a raging boner, pop the sex pill. If you want a different kind of high, choose your poison, but don’t do both. It’s the same lesson you learned in freshman year of college about mixing different types of liquors. Beer before liquor, liquor before beer and add some wine…it’s all the same — the night ending with your head in the toilet.

4. Be aware of your environment

Too hot, too cold, no good. Know when to take a break from dancing, or crack a window. Water isn’t always your friend, so fresh air in a safe place is your best bet and don’t wander off alone please.
