Ever wonder how those fashion it-girls always look the part? Every blogger and beauty editor on earth aren’t always made up, decked out and showin’ off. But even when they’re not trying so hard, they just look good. I set off to find the reoccurring themes of how they pull it off – and I don’t mean hiding behind sunglasses and a cap. Of course celebs may be prettier, skinnier and wealthier, but HEY I’m out here tryin and so should you. We all have the same amount of hours in a day.

1. Throw a bomber on it

You could be in sweatpants and a T-shirt, but throwing on a structured jacket will transform your look from lazy to casual chic.

2. Slip on some thigh-high boots

Homegirl is literally just wearing a T-shirt. Accessorize with textured footwear and a coffee.

3. Braid it, braid it back

Braids are just downright pretty. The natural highlights in your hair will crisscross to make a more dynamic affect, while keeping your maybe not-so-clean strands locked into place.

4. All black everything

Need I say more?

5. Canadian Tuxedo

NFL Sunday doesn’t have to be lazy and fugs — unless you’re in the mood, then by all means. But if you’re lookin’ to spice up your weekend ‘fit, throw some ripped denim into the mix.

6. Mix high-low

Not talkin’ high/low budget, yet short/long accents. Throw on your favorite pair of blah denim shorts and black tee, add a belt with long outerwear — done and done.

7. Middle part, low bun/pony

Not sure what it is about the wet middle part that just looks chic. It’s clear this took about five mins to put together — pair your ‘do with a button down or an oversized sweater and bed head no more.
